Debate
I will have to start by saying that tonight's VP debate was one of the better debates that I have ever seen. First let me state that the experts stated that this debate would not play a role in the outcome of the presidential election but yet serve as a definition of the character that either Senator Biden or Governor Palin would represent while serving as the Vice President of the United States. I could not disagree more with the experts. While the characters of both Biden and Palin are now on full display for the American people, I believe that this one and only VP debate will play a major role in the outcome of the presidential election. The American people were privaledge to listen in on the Top advisors for the future President of the United States. I was thouroughly impressed with Senator Biden. His track record in Congress is one of great stature. His knowledge of foreign policy, econimics, education, and energy was on full display tonight. Governor Palin showed her tough side in tonights debate. But two things stood out to me in this debate. #1= Palin spent most of her time referring to her accomplishments while Governor and Mayor of Alaska when answering questions, and #2 she seemed to be trying to entice Senator Biden to get into a shouting match by throwing jabs at his responses and at one time saying "Say it aint so Joe". I will say that throughout the debate I was impressed with Palin until on specific topic was discussed. Palin began speaking about the Energy Bill because of the direct correlation that it has with her Governing state of Alaska. She claimed to be an expert on this matter, but yet when asked specific questions about Energy and its conservation methods she stumbbled over every words and kept diverting the lame answeres to some vote that either Obama or Biden had or had not cast. Senator Biden excelled here by giving cold-hearted facts regarding his stance on Energy conservation. Throughout the debate Palin just seemed to be someone desperate to convince the American voters that she was qualified to be the Vice President and constantly referrred to the McCain/Palin ticket as the "Maverick" of the Presidential ticket. Senator Biden simply used tact, edicate, and straight forward opinionated facts to bolster his support for the his Presidential Candidate Obama. I must say that I believe many uncertain voters picked a ticket tonight to support and will be eagerly tunning into the October 7th debate being held at the campus of Belmont University. While, I am not totally convinced yet on which way I am voting, one thing was made crystal clear to me tonight and that is Senator Joe Biden is the man for the Vice Presidential Position and will serve this country with respect, dignity, and honor. His statement of "It's time for the American people to get back up TOGETHER" was nothing less than the absolute truth.
