Make A Difference

There has not been many times in my life that I have ever truly had a chance to see that a decision that I make can effect me, my future family, and the rest of the free world; however, this year is one that ends that run. On November 4th, the American people are going to casting their vote for the next President of the United States. Never if my lifetime has one election meant more to my existence here in the great USA. I urge all my fellow "Younger Generation" members to please pay attention to what is going on. The age of the "Baby Boomer" is over and the fate of the United States rest solely on our shoulders now. Our generation consumes more energy, face higher gas prices, and debt is at all time high. One way that we can show the generations that came before us is that we are ready to make a difference. By choosing a ticket to run with you are making a choice to fix our economic status and use your vote as a means to express what you feel is important to you for the future. Now I don't know about the rest of you guys, but for me that is some awesome power that we have been given. Both of our Presidential candidates have great platforms and we need to focus on what each candidate will bring to the table for the American people. Let's Make a Difference and lets join the fight to restore the dominance and the ensure the legacy that is The United States of America. I hope to see you all at the polls on November 4th. VOTE!!!!!!!!!

Mom's Cancer

The word "Cancer" can simply stop a human being dead in their tracks. My mother was diagonsed with Thyroid cancer last year and instead of it stopping her in her tracks, my mother found and inner strength of superhuman proportions. I honestly can tell you that the family looked to be suffering more from my mother's cancer than my mother herself. The power of the human spirit is a beautiful thing and my mother is a walking, living, and thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, a cancer free ambassador of the human spirit overcoming anything. Just tonight she held up a picture of her before she went in for treatment and let me tell you, she is not the same person today that she was then. She embraced her condition as a challenge to become the person that she always wanted to be. My mother has devoted her life to her children and not ONE time put herself before her children. I tell you what that is a powerful message. As the middle and honestly the most needy of her children I have had a front row seat and, in some situations, been the main cause of the stress that my mother has endured over the years. Today the smile she carries on her face, the pride she has in her apperance, the confidence she has, and the Light she has back in her eyes is something that her children are so very proud to see in her life. My mother chose to FIGHT and I will tell you that for the first time in her life, she will tell you that she did this for her. I am so very proud of her and hope that her story can a be a testament to others on overcoming obstacles and life's curve balls. My mother did exactly what I used to do, she took that 0-2 curve ball and she parked it over the fence. You Go Girl!!!

Debate

I will have to start by saying that tonight's VP debate was one of the better debates that I have ever seen. First let me state that the experts stated that this debate would not play a role in the outcome of the presidential election but yet serve as a definition of the character that either Senator Biden or Governor Palin would represent while serving as the Vice President of the United States. I could not disagree more with the experts. While the characters of both Biden and Palin are now on full display for the American people, I believe that this one and only VP debate will play a major role in the outcome of the presidential election. The American people were privaledge to listen in on the Top advisors for the future President of the United States. I was thouroughly impressed with Senator Biden. His track record in Congress is one of great stature. His knowledge of foreign policy, econimics, education, and energy was on full display tonight. Governor Palin showed her tough side in tonights debate. But two things stood out to me in this debate. #1= Palin spent most of her time referring to her accomplishments while Governor and Mayor of Alaska when answering questions, and #2 she seemed to be trying to entice Senator Biden to get into a shouting match by throwing jabs at his responses and at one time saying "Say it aint so Joe". I will say that throughout the debate I was impressed with Palin until on specific topic was discussed. Palin began speaking about the Energy Bill because of the direct correlation that it has with her Governing state of Alaska. She claimed to be an expert on this matter, but yet when asked specific questions about Energy and its conservation methods she stumbbled over every words and kept diverting the lame answeres to some vote that either Obama or Biden had or had not cast. Senator Biden excelled here by giving cold-hearted facts regarding his stance on Energy conservation. Throughout the debate Palin just seemed to be someone desperate to convince the American voters that she was qualified to be the Vice President and constantly referrred to the McCain/Palin ticket as the "Maverick" of the Presidential ticket. Senator Biden simply used tact, edicate, and straight forward opinionated facts to bolster his support for the his Presidential Candidate Obama. I must say that I believe many uncertain voters picked a ticket tonight to support and will be eagerly tunning into the October 7th debate being held at the campus of Belmont University. While, I am not totally convinced yet on which way I am voting, one thing was made crystal clear to me tonight and that is Senator Joe Biden is the man for the Vice Presidential Position and will serve this country with respect, dignity, and honor. His statement of "It's time for the American people to get back up TOGETHER" was nothing less than the absolute truth.
